In-app deletion permanently removes your account from our active systems, including your memories, photos, videos, voice notes, child profiles and invites.
If you cannot use the app, email us from the email address on your Our Chapters account. Include the words Delete my account in the subject line.

We may ask for reasonable information to confirm your identity before deleting the account. We respond to deletion requests in line with UK data protection law, usually within one month.
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data associated with your Our Chapters account from active systems, including:
Deleted data is purged from encrypted backups within our normal backup cycle, currently up to 30 days.
We may keep limited records where we have a legal reason to do so, such as payment, invoice, tax, fraud-prevention, security or dispute records. For example, basic billing and transaction records may be kept for up to 7 years to meet HMRC and tax obligations.
Deleting your Our Chapters account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the store where you bought it.
